Good morning. I used to give away the PDF version of my zine for free for anyone who wants to print it themselves and distribute. I am now moving over to a “pay what you will” business model.
Here’s the link Order the PDF
This version is formatted to print 2 sided, which you fold in half to make a 16 page booklet. I think two staples along the spine is a nice touch, I bought a special stapler for that purpose because I print so many, but you can achieve it with a regular stapler opened up all the way, on a hard surface.
I also have a version that prints flat if you don’t want to be bothered with duplex printing, which can be kind of confusing if your printer doesn’t do it automatically. Please specify if you want the non-booklet format.
The illustrations for the print versions were altered to minimize ink use. Got rid of the gray backgrounds when I saw how quickly I was going through toner cartridges.
I also update the illustrations constantly, fix little things that annoy me, and will add things to the resources page on the back cover as they come up. So if you have an older version it might be time to update.
*** this is for non-commercial use only, I’m sure that was obvious, but if I catch you selling my work I’m gonna be pissed.
**** also if you’re having an event/rally and using my work, please invite me. I probably can’t come. But I might! I am planning to attend a couple things on the East coast, wear my Reality Girl tee shirt and hand out zines. I want to do more of that in the future.
Hope you get lots of orders, Reality Girl. Great as Xmas gifts for the growing numbers of GAs. The cards are a very good idea and your paintings are striking.
I give away the PDF version of my Vagina Limericks stickers. I'm happy for anyone to sell and make a bit of money if they can. (I've got enough money to live on at the moment.) Besides after the ideas and execution stage there is the cost of buying the labels, and printer cartridges. Then the effort to print up and sell. The selling takes the big energy and talent. And I figure the word is getting out the more stickering there is. For my substack I decided on the pay to subscribe as well as the free to subscribe option but no paywall for either. I think it's wonderful if you can campaign and earn with your art form.
Aw dang. Free? I think it’s worth money of course. But hassle is hassle for you, I can imagine.
